Boatwright, who sprained his MCL in a Nov. 30 game at USD, came off the bench with a bang, releasing the pent up energy from his time off the court. The co-captain netted 23 points (tying a career high) on 7-of-10 shooting, and added 4 assists.
Boatwright fueled a USC comeback that seemed improbable early on. The Trojans went into halftime trailing the Huskies by 10, due in part to a nearly six-minute scoring drought before the break. But they came out in the second half with a fire resembling Boatwright's, and erased the deficit.
Thanks to Boatwright's efforts, plus double-digit scoring from De'Anthony Melton, Chimezie Metu and Jordan McLaughlin, the Trojans notched an 82-74 win to move to 19-4 on the season and 6-4 in Pac-12 play.
