Chimezie Metu scored a career-high 24 points and the Trojans pulled off an important Pac-12 road win over Colorado last night.

After a loss at Utah, the Trojans got back to .500 in conference play with a 71-68 win in Boulder. Metu's 20 points in the first half helped the Trojans claw their way back from an 11-point deficit to head into the break down just 1.
Metu went to the bench with 3 fouls early in the second half, so his teammates stepped up. Guards Elijah Stewart and Jonah Mathews dropped 11 points each, and De'Anthony Melton pulled down 9 boards.
The Trojans earned a slight lead late in the game, and held on by hitting key free throws (in contrast to the first half) and responding to a Buffs three to take the lead with a go-ahead shot of their own. Metu came through in the clutch with a signature hook shot with 29 seconds to go to help USC win its second conference road game this season.
