No team had scored 3 or more goals on the 22-time National Champion Tar Heels in exactly five years to the date. The last time UNC surrendered that many goals was in a 4-3 OT loss to Texas A&M on Sept. 11, 2011.

The Trojans, meanwhile, have not allowed a goal since Aug. 26, in a 1-0 loss to Long Beach State. Since then, they've won five straight and outscored their opponents 13-0.
In the shutout win over the No. 8 Tar Heels, the Trojans got goals from Morgan Andrews, Katie Johnson and Alex Anthony. Anthony now leads the team with five goals in seven games, while Andrews has three.
Both Anthony and Andrews are transfers, as Anthony is in her first year at USC after transferring from Maryland, while Andrews came to Troy from Notre Dame in 2015.
