The squad's 4-0 win over Arizona broke the USC record set back in 2006 and also marked head coach Keidane McAlpine's 100th win as a Division I head coach.
During the current win streak, USC has defeated Pepperdine, Georgia, Auburn, LMU, UNC, Kansas and Arizona by a combined tally of 19 goals to zero. The Trojans have also tied the school record for minutes without allowing a goal (654), which they will look to extend at Oregon on Thursday.
Goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme has racked up 34 saves during the winning streak. Only eight goalies in the nation boast more shutouts than Prudhomme this season. The Aliso Viejo, CA native has earned two Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week awards this year, while defender Ally Prisock earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 13 for her efforts in keeping the shutout streak alive.
The Trojans, who now stand at 7-2 (1-0 Pac-12), head to Eugene this week to take on Oregon, who is 6-3-1 (0-1 Pac-12) and averages 1.5 goals per game.
