Bellamy enjoyed a bye in the Round of 64, then didn't drop a set in the next three matches (plus an opponent withdrawal), which earned him a spot in the championship. He met Cal Poly's Ben Donovan, the 5-seed in the tournament, in the title match. Bellamy, whose mother was an NCAA singles champion at USC, dispatched of Donovan, 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-4.
Bellamy became the fifth Trojan in seven years to win the Battle in the Bay singles title.
Bellamy is undefeated in singles play throughout the fall season so far, with three wins in the Porsche Napa Valley Tennis Classic earlier this month.
Next up for the Trojans is the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Tournament, starting on Saturday.
