Game: The Bakersfield native can thank good genes for his imposing size and speed. His father, Michael Pittman Sr., was a Super Bowl-winning running back who spent 11 years in the NFL with the Cardinals, Buccaneers and Broncos. The son has chosen to play on the outside, but he brings the same physicality to the game.
Prep Career: Pittman Jr. had 81 receptions for 1,990 yards and 24 TD in his senior year at Oaks Christian, earning honors such as 2015 Parade All-American first team, Max Preps All-American first team, USA Today All-California Offensive Player of the Year, Los Angeles Daily News Player of the Year, and more. He also had 31 tackles, an interception and a deflection, 17 kickoff returns for 477 yards (28.1 avg) with 1 TD and 14 punt returns for 148 yards (10.6 avg).
Clay Helton on Pittman Jr.: "I'm so impressed with Mike's physical strength. To be a 207-, 209-pound man to run like he does like a wideout --- you've got to remember, he was a defensive player in high school also, and he plays with a defensive mentality at the wide receiver position. We always say, 'The ball is mine.' Well he acts it --- I mean, he attacks the ball."
Fun Fact: In his final game for Oaks Christian, Pittman Jr. caught 16 passes for 354 yards and 5 TD.
