Johns, who hails from Washington, D.C., was one of just five goalies named to the 36-woman roster.
The 2016 MPSF first-teamer was 19-1 as a starter in 2016, and her 6.04 goals-against average led the nation.
While Johns is the first Trojan player ever named to the national team, she joins USC associate head coach Devon Wills and assistant coach Alyssa Leonard on the roster. The 36 players will compete for the final 18 spots on the squad for the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women's World Cup.
