The USC swim program knew it landed a gem by getting the signature of incoming freshman Louisse Hansson.
"USC felt right from the beginning, they are a great school both in the pool and academically," said Hansson, who will have an Olympic resume before she even arrives at Troy. "I love the coaches, the team, and the weather."
Hansson, 19, has already collected relay medals at the World Championships and European Championships, and she will be a key relay contributor in Rio. She is headed to her first Olympics, qualifying to compete individually in the 200m individual medley and the 100m fly.
