USC beach volleyball national champions Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes ventured all the way out to Estonia to compete in the World University Games. The 5,000+ mile trip was worth it as the Women of Troy are coming home with the gold, beating the other Team USA pair, Arizona's Witt sisters, in the final (21-16, 21-13).
Click here for the recap. This is the latest accomplishment for Claes and Hughes, a duo which seemingly cannot stop compiling achievements. After an undefeated season, the rising seniors went 7-0 in the world tourney and didn't drop a single set in their run.
