Jackson has started 22 games on defense in his two-year career, making 84 tackles, deflecting 18 passes, and returning an interception for a touchdown. Smith (pictured) was a Freshman All-American last season, finishing second on the team in tackles (78) and tied for first with three interceptions (all against Utah).
The award is named after USC legend Ronnie Lott, but a Trojan has yet to win the trophy since its creation in 2004.
