USC women's water polo has even more to accomplish, but there's already a lot to celebrate from the Trojans' undefeated season in the pool. After clinching the MPSF Title last weekend, the conference awarded USC head coach Jovan Vavic his fifth selection for MPSF Women's Water Polo Coach of the Year, while junior Stephania Haralabidis became the fourth Trojan in the past eight years to earn honors as the MPSF Player of the Year.
Haralabidis is the eighth Trojan to receive the award in program history, and leads a pack of six All-MPSF honorees from the 2016 roster, including sister Ioanna Haralabidis and freshman goalie Amanda Longan on the first team. Junior Brigitta Games received a spot on the All-MPSF Second Team, while Brianna Daboub and Avery Peterson earned All-MPSF Honorable Mention.
Games and Haralabidis were also named finalists for the Cutino Award, the Heisman Trophy of water polo. It's only the fourth time in program history that USC women's water polo can claim two finalists.
