USC women's beach volleyball swept Florida State, 3-0, to claim the first-ever NCAA Championship in beach volleyball and earn the program back-to-back national championships. Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes extended their two-year run of victories to 73 straight, clinching the championship dual match over the Seminoles after Nicolette Martin/Allie Wheeler and Jo Kremer/Zoe Nightingale earned the first two points. Claes and Hughes were named to the All-Tournament Team at the No. 1 position, while Kremer/Nightingale made it at the No. 5 spot.
The Trojans' crown is the 124th team championship at USC, the 101st NCAA title and the 17th NCAA women's title! #FightOn ????

The inaugural NCAA Championship was nationally televised on TBS, and the Women of Troy emerged as the stars of the show. From their dancing warm-up, to the inspirational story of Alexa Strange and her blind mother, and finally their victory dip into the ocean, the Trojans brought an ineffable spirit all season long.
"We're coming home with the natty!" said an emotional head coach Anna Collier. "We're bringing it home for Pat Haden and the USC athletic department."
