For the first time since 2011, a Trojan will be playing in the Eastern Conference Finals. DeMar DeRozan combined with Kyle Lowry for 63 points in Game 7 on Saturday to lead the Toronto Raptors to the franchise's first-ever conference finals appearance.
The former USC guard has been unsteady this postseason, scoring in single digits in three of his last 11 games and shooting below 30 percent in five games of the two series, but he came through with the Raptors' playoff hopes on the line, scoring 28 points and posting eight rebounds in the victory.
Coming off back-to-back seven game series, the road won't get any easier for the Raptors who face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers which efficiently swept the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
DeRozan and Co. are back in action on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. PT in Cleveland. Game One of the Eastern Conference Finals will be televised on ESPN.
