Los Angeles -
The USC baseball, men's volleyball, women's cross country and women's tennis teams have been honored by the NCAA as recipients of Public Recognition Awards for their outstanding performance in the classroom.
Public Recognition Awards are based upon teams' commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes by achieving multiyear Academic Progress Rates (APR) within the top 10 percent in their respective sports.
A team's APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation to generate a measure of academic performance. Each semester, the APR creates a snapshot of a team's academic success as it tracks the progress of each student-athlete on scholarship.
