For the first time in program history, USC women's lacrosse has moved into the national Top 10 at No. 8 in the latest IWLCA coaches' poll. At 7-0, the Women of Troy are one of three undefeated teams left in the country.USC's climb up the rankings is all the more remarkable considering the program played its first game in 2013. Under head coach Lindsey Munday, the Women of Troy have gone from west coast experiment to national power player in less than four seasons.
Last week, the Trojans went on the road and demolished Cal and Saint Mary's by a combined score of 35-5 after beating a tough Stony Brook team at home, 14-10. Junior attacker Kylie Drexel scored a hat trick in all three games, earning MPSF Offensive Player of the Week.
Next up, USC puts its winning streak on the line against Dartmouth (2 p.m. on Wednesday at McAlister Field) and Oregon (Noon on Sunday at McAlister Field). Both games will be live on Pac-12 Network.
