Much Improved in March

After a difficult stretch in February, in which the USC women's tennis team went 1-4 against a slew of tough opponents including Florida and No. 1 Cal, the Trojans have rebounded in the month of March to advance their overall record to 7-4. Last weekend, the Women of Troy took down Baylor at the BNP Paribas Open Collegiate Challenge for their fourth straight victory of the month.

The duo of Zoe Katz and Madison Westby came up big early in the match, battling in a tiebreaker to claim a 7-6 (2) win and earn USC's first points of the day. From there, the Trojans made quick work of their opponent, securing three consecutive singles points en route to a 4-0 win. Gabby Smith, Rihanna Valdes and Giuliana Oleos each won their singles matches in two dominating sets to close out the successful day in Indian Wells.
