The USC women's lacrosse offense has been unstoppable this year, scoring 63 goals in its first four games led by junior attacker Michaela Michael with 18 goals on the season. But the Trojan defense has been equally impressive, holding opponents to just 18 total goals and posting an 11.25 average margin of victory to start the year. For their outstanding efforts in victories against both Michigan and Vermont, Michael and sophomore Lydia Sutton won MPSF Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Michael has already been selected as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week this season, and secured it once again after scoring 10 goals and recording eight draw controls in USC's two victories last weekend. She is now tied for second in career goals in program history with 106. Sutton's award is the first of her career and comes after the sophomore tallied seven caused turnovers and seven ground balls in the pair of wins. It is the third time that USC has won multiple MPSF awards in the same week.
