Thanks to Corey Dempster's eighth inning home run, USC baseball won its third straight and 10th overall game this season against Cal State Fullerton on Monday evening at Dedeaux Field. The Trojans showed resiliency in the game, coming away with the victory even after the Titans battled back to even the game 2-2 in the seventh inning.
USC's three runs came off of five hits, with home runs from Timmy Robinson and Dempster as well as an RBI single from Reggie Southall. Freshman CJ Stubbs pitched 6.1 innings and allowed just two runs on four hits with no walks in his strongest start of the year, while Brooks Kriske notched his third save of 2016 retiring the side in the top of the ninth.
Beginning on Thursday, the Trojans will play two games at UC Santa Barbara. Both Thursday and Friday's games begin at 3 p.m. PT. Be sure to follow @USC_Baseball for in-game updates, photos and more all season long.
