The No. 12 USC men's tennis team earned back-to-back, 4-1, victories over No. 15 Oklahoma and No. 21 Baylor in the BNP Paribas Open Collegiate Tennis Challenge last weekend to advance to 10-3 overall in 2016. Sophomore Thibault Forget extended his singles winning streak to 10, clinching two-set victories in both matches, and was crowned the Pac-12 Player of the Week for his highly successful weekend.Â

The Trojans started strong against the Sooners on Saturday, capturing the doubles point thanks to the winning tandems of Max de Vroome and Jake DeVine and Jack Jaede and Tanner Smith. Forget (6-2, 6-1) and Nick Crystal (6-3, 7-5) finished off their opponents in two sets each while DeVine battled through three sets to clinch the match.Â
On Sunday, Forget pulled the Trojans even with his singles victory after the Bears earned the doubles point to begin the match. De Vroome (6-2, 6-1) and DeVine (6-1, 6-3) sured up the USC lead with back-to-back wins on courts one and three before freshman Logan Smith decided the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court four.Â
Now, USC will head out on the road for its first Pac-12 matches of the year. On Friday, the Trojans take on Washington in Seattle at 5 p.m PT before traveling to Eugene to challenge the Oregon Ducks on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
