Led by Sadie Edwards (20 points) and Temi Fagbenle (10 points), the Women of Troy battled back from a 12-point deficit to cut the Beavers' lead to three just before the half. But Oregon State dominated the second half offensively, finishing with a 60 percent mark from the three-point line and out-rebounding USC 40-25. Despite forcing 21 turnovers in the game, the Trojans could not keep pace with the top seed, shooting just 38.3 percent from the field.
Fagbenle, who led USC in scoring and rebounding this year, recorded her 24th double digit performance this season in what may be her last game in Cardinal & Gold. The Women of Troy have a week to wait before finding out if they will receive an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday (March 13).
