USC baseball found itself having lost six out of seven games after dropping the Pac-12 opener against No. 12 Cal, but the Trojans rallied on Friday and Saturday to take the series and turn the momentum just in time. After falling, 5-4, in its Pac-12 home opener, USC hammered the Bears in game two, 18-5, and then picked off the rubber match, 5-4.

In need of some lumber, the Trojans' veteran sluggers delivered at Dedeaux Field. Junior catcher Jeremy Martinez had multiple hits in all three games, while senior 1B/RF A.J. Ramirez scored seven runs, drove in four and belted a home run in the series.
After 18 games, USC sits at 9-9 with perennial power Cal State Fullerton in town tonight (6 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Network). The Trojans will play their next five games against non-conference foes before taking their first Pac-12 road trip to Stanford (April 1-3).
