Who'd have thought USC's sole representative on the All-Pac-12 team in 2016 would be a Harvard alum, playing in her first and only season? It says a lot about her that she was able to come into a program in her first and only year and become a team captain. Her leadership, though, wasn't the only way she led the Women of Troy this season. Fagbenle paced the team in scoring (13.6 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg), blocks (1.2 bpg) and minutes played (29.9 mpg).
In addition to Fagbenle's honors, junior guard Courtney Jaco was named an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. Jaco took on point guard duties in Pac-12 play and has not missed a free throw this season, a perfect 21-for-21. Furthermore, she has been the Women of Troy's sharpshooter, making 66 threes, the fifth most in a single season by a Trojan.
With honors to their names, Fagbenle and Jaco will lead the Women of Troy in the upcoming 2016 Pac-12 Tournament in Seattle. USC will be the No. 8 seed and face Washington State on Thursday.
