USC is expecting another fortuitous year after making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2015. Led by 2015 MPSF Coach of the Year Lindsey Munday and MPSF Player of the Year junior Michaela Michael, the Women of Troy are loaded with experience and eager to start off on the right foot with their first-ever season-opening victory. Joining Michael as returning All-MPSF players are senior attacker Caroline de Lyra, senior midfielder Amanda Johansen, senior Courtney Tarletonm junior Nina Kelty and sophomore Gussie Johns.
The Trojans square off against the Hatters at 3 p.m. PT at McAlister Field on Saturday. Strangely enough, it will be USC's first season-opener to be played on their home field, with their previous three held either in the LA Memorial Coliseum or on Cromwell Field.
