Alex Stepheson has battled through the minor leagues of professional basketball since leaving USC in 2011, and now all the hard work has paid off. The big man, who was leading the NBDL in rebounding this season, has been signed by the Los Angeles Clippers to a 10-day contract.
Stepheson makes seven Trojans in the NBA, joining Taj Gibson, Nick Young, O.J. Mayo*, Dewayne Dedmon, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic.
*Pursuant to the NCAA/COI report of 6/10/10, USC was directed to disassociate itself from O.J. Mayo.
