For her stellar season-opening performance which also included 12 draw controls and one forced turnover, Michael was named the MPSF Offensive Player of the Week, her third career weekly honor. In addition to the junior's six first half goals, 10 different Trojans scored in the game, including juniors Annie Ruland and Drew Jackson who each posted hat tricks. The Women of Troy were equally as impressive on the defensive side of the ball, holding Stetson to just four shots all game and forcing 18 turnovers.
USC heads to Orange County next to face No. 5 Duke at Lebard Stadium in Costa Mesa on Saturday, February 20. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m. and tickets are available by clicking here.
