USC men's basketball beat Pepperdine, 93-67, Sunday night to improve to 9-0 on the season. The Trojans' 9-0 record is the best start to a season since 1971.

After the Trojans conceded the first bucket of the game, the team locked in and went on a 20-4 run. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Elijah Stewart with 26 points. Stewart netted a career-high seven three-pointers and recorded four blocks.
Stewart wasn't the only one hot from deep, as the Trojans connected on 12 of their 23 attempts from downtown. The Trojans also dished out 18 assists as a team and made history with 14 blocks, the most in a single game in program history.
The Trojans also got strong performances from Jordan McLaughlin, Nick Rakocevic and Chimezie Metu. McLaughlin had 18 points, on 7-of-7 shooting, and 6 assists, and Rakocevic posted career-highs with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Metu recorded his third double-double of the season and added 2 blocks. Kurt Karis knocked down a pair of free throws for his first points as a Trojan.
Next up for the Trojans is a home game against the Troy Trojans on Saturday at 7:30 p.m PT.
