PG Jordan McLaughlin was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week today --- the first Trojan to win the award this season. In USC's three wins last week, McLaughlin averaged 19.0 points, 6.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. In the Las Vegas Classic, McLaughlin dropped 19 and 22 points, respectively, including the game-winning layup in OT in the championship game against Wyoming. In that game, McLaughlin played a whopping 43 minutes without a single turnover. For his efforts, he was named the Las Vegas Classic MVP and earned the praise of those watching around the country.
Freshman Jonah Mathews was also rewarded for his career-high 26 points in the title game of the Las Vegas Classic. Dick Vitale named Mathews his "Diaper Dandy of the Week." Vitale kept the praise coming for the Trojans, naming Andy Enfield his Coach of the Week.
