USC is 6-22-1 all-time against UCLA, but the Trojan squad has the better ranking, record, goals for and goals against average this season.
In fact, the Trojans are No. 1 in the conference in goals allowed, with just 8 this year. They rank fourth in the country with a 0.667 shutout percentage and fifth with a 0.908 save percentage.
Senior goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme is a huge part of that. This season, she set the USC record for most regular-season shutouts by a goalie (10) and helped the team set a new school record in consecutive shutouts (7).
She'll be tasked with stopping UCLA's Jessie Fleming, who is tied for the Pac-12 lead in goals per game (0.67). Fleming is a freshman who started for the Canadian national team at the Rio Olympics this summer.
USC has its own dangerous shooters this season as well. Alex Anthony leads the team with 9 goals, while Morgan Andrews and Katie Johnson boast 7 each. Andrews played hero in last year's win over UCLA --- the first ever over the Bruins in Westwood.
Andrews (pictured) and the Trojans kick off their rivalry match against the Bruins at 7 p.m. tomorrow night.
