In front of a thunderous, sold-out Husky Stadium crowd of 72,364, Darnold kept his cool to finish 23-of-33 for 287 yards and 2 TD. Despite throwing 2 INT for the first time in his career, he made all the right moves in key moments, and nimbly navigated through Washington's pass rush.
Darnold converted 7 of 11 third down attempts, and according to Pro Football Focus, he was also especially efficient on downfield passes.
Darnold earned praise from USC Heisman winner Matt Leinart in addition to various members of the media, including Colin Cowherd, Dennis Dodd and Andy Staples.
Darnold is the second Trojan to earn a Player of the Week award this season, as CB Adoree' Jackson won Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 12.
Next up for Darnold and the Trojans is a 7:30 tilt at UCLA on Saturday.
