Baron racked up 33 saves in two games this weekend (16 vs. Stanford, 17 vs. UCLA) to lead his team to two victories. His efforts made him the first Trojan named top dog at the tournament since Nikola Vavic in 2013.
While Baron was named the tournament's top goalie, his teammates Nick Bell and Blake Edwards also made the MPSF All-Tournament Team. Bell scored once against Penn State Behrend and twice against UCLA. Edwards, who also made the all-tournament team last season, scored one goal in each game.
Thanks to their tournament win, the Trojans earned a spot in the NCAA semifinals, which take place on Dec. 3 in Berkeley, CA.
