USC men's basketball beat UC Santa Barbara, 96-72, last night to improve to 6-0 on the season.

All five starters scored in double figures for USC to rack up the highest point total of the season so far. Sophomore captain Bennie Boatwright led the way, netting 21 points on 5-of-11 shooting from behind the arc.
More than half of USC's shots in the game came from behind the three-point line, as the Trojans connected on 14-of-35 3s in the game. It was the most three-pointers the Trojans had made in a game since Jan. 24, 2013, when they scored 18 against Arizona State.
Despite criticizing his team for allowing UCSB to score easily in the paint, head coach Andy Enfield praised captain Jordan McLaughlin for running the game nearly flawlessly. McLaughlin finished with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds on a night when the Trojans racked up a season-high 26 assists on 33 made FGs.
USC is off to its best start since the 2000-01 season, when the team won its first eight games.
Next up for the Trojans is a trip to San Diego to take on the USD Toreros on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
