Ian Kennedy, SP, Royals
In the first season of his 5-year, $70 million deal with the Kansas City Royals, pitcher Ian Kennedy (pictured) had the second-most wins (11) and the second-most strikeouts (184) for the defending World Series champs. He finished the season with an 11-11 record and a 3.68 ERA in 33 games.

Nick Buss, LF, Angels - .198 BA, 1 HR, 8 RBI in 36 games in his first MLB action
Grant Green, 2B, Giants - .261 BA, 1 HR, 7 RBI in 18 games
Andrew Triggs, P, A's - 1-1 with a 4.31 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 24 games
Danny Couloumbe, P, A's- 3-1 with a 4.53 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 35 games
J.P. Howell, P, Dodgers - 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 64 games
