Last season, Metu averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Trojans. He led the team with 54 blocks, which were the most by a USC freshman since Taj Gibson posted 69 in 2007. He started only two games, but appeared in all 34.
This year, he'll step into a starting role and look to improve offensively. The Trojans kick off their season at home on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. against Montana. Prior to that, you can catch Metu at Trojan Tip Off on Oct. 22. USC's men's and women's basketball teams will hold a fan fest, a scrimmage and more.
