Junior CB-WR-RET Adoree' Jackson was named a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy and a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, the organizations announced today.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy, named after Trojan legend Ronnie Lott, rewards players who demonstrate excellence in the following categories: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
Jackson is one of seven DBs and one of just two Pac-12 players on the 19-man list.
Jackson was also named one of 16 semi-finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the best defensive back in college football.
Jackson has 34 total tackles on the season, including one TFL. He boasts four pass breakups and six passes defended, and he's recovered two fumbles, leading the team in all three categories.
The Belleville, IL native is also dangerous as a returner, having scored a punt return TD and a kickoff return TD this season. He ranks seventh in the nation in both punt return average (15.6) and kickoff return average (31.7).
The Lott IMPACT Trophy semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 9, while the Thorpe Award finalists will be named on Nov. 21.
