With back-to-back road victories over Pacific and Saint Mary's this weekend, USC women's soccer seems to have finally snapped its offensive dry spell. Despite out-shooting opponents, 94-58, in their first seven games, the Trojans struggled to produce goals, scoring just five points to opponents' six. This weekend, USC scored five goals in two games, while out-shooting its opponents, 47-4, seemingly turning up the intensity on offense as the Pac-12 opener approaches.On Friday, the Women of Troy netted three shots to defeat the Tigers and earn their fourth win of the season, 3-1. Sophomore Sydney Johnson, who leads the team with three goals, struck first in the 33rd minute, and junior Morgan Andrews (pictured) followed with two penalty kicks in the 71st and 76th minutes.

The Trojans displayed their offensive firepower again on Sunday defeating the Gaels, 2-0, with goals from Jamie Fink and Mandy Freeman. On the other end of the pitch, redshirt junior goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme made two saves to finish with her fourth shutout of the season.
