After five consecutive games on the road to open the 2015 season, USC women's soccer returned home this weekend and clinched a 2-1 second half victory in their home opener against the University of San Diego. The Women of Troy outshot the Toreros 19-6 in the game and 13-2 in the first half, but were unable to put one away until sophomore Sydney Johnson scored in traffic in the 69th minute. After USD tied the game with a set piece goal, junior defender Kayla Mills secured the game-winner, slipping a ball past the keeper at the far post. Mills, along with Morgan Andrews, led the team with five shots in the match.
