"Thank you also to the entire USC Trojan family, which has meant so much to our family, especially Pat Haden," Jackson said as part of his introductory remarks today in Philadelphia. "Pat has taught me invaluable lessons about what it means to be an athletic director, he has taught me lessons about what it means to be a father, a husband, and a friend. I can't thank Pat enough for that."
Jackson enjoyed two stints at USC, serving as director of football administration for Pete Carroll from 2001-04, and then returning in 2009. Haden tabbed Jackson as the Chief Innovation Officer, leading projects which included the John McKay Center, Heritage Hall renovation and the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
