USC water polo was well represented at the FINA World Championships in Kazan with three Trojans earning medals as the action wrapped up on Monday. Two-time Olympian Kami Craig (pictured front row, second from the right) and 2013 national champion Kaleigh Gilchrist (pictured front row, second from the left) led the United States to yet another gold medal on the women's side of the tournament. Recent graduate Kostas Genidounias, representing the men's water polo program, led his home country Greece to a bronze medal. The Cutino Award winner scored three goals throughout the tournament helping to secure a berth to the 2016 Olympics in Rio for the Greece national team.
All in all, the Trojans had 13 athletes compete at the 2015 FINA World Championships in water polo and one former coach with four of those players returning this fall to compete again at USC.
