USC women's lacrosse head coach Lindsey Munday announced on Wednesday that she is retiring from professional lacrosse to focus on her duties here. The two-time world champion and 2013 FIL World Cup Team USA captain is a women's lacrosse legend earning five NCAA titles, two as a student-athlete and three as an assistant coach. Adding to her resume, Munday was Lacrosse Magazine's Person of the Year in 2013.
As a head coach, Munday uses her experience on the national team to inspire and train the next generation of lacrosse players. In just three years of the program's existence, she has coached USC to its first NCAA tournament berth and a 14-6 record this season, losing only one conference game. She's coached 15 All-MPSF selections at USC, including 2013 MPSF Rookie of the Year Amanda Johansen and 2015 MPSF Player of the Year Michaela Michael. Munday's retirement will allow her to fully focus on the Trojans as they strive to capture the program's first NCAA championship.
