For the first time since 2005, USC baseball is returning to the NCAA tournament. Announced by the NCAA College World Series selection committee on Monday, the No. 15 Trojans will be the No. 2 seed in the UC Santa Barbara Regional that will be played in Lake Elsinore Friday, May 29 through Monday, June 1. The regional includes No. 1 seed UC Santa Barbara, No. 3 seed Virginia and No. 4 seed San Diego State.

"This is where we're supposed to be," head coach Dan Hubbs said of the team's postseason position. "We're not in it just to be in. We're in it to win this thing, and I think that when we play our best games no one can beat us."
USC, which finished the regular season 37-19 overall and 18-12 in conference play, will face No. 3 Virginia at 3 p.m. PT on Friday at Storm Stadium. Click here to purchase tickets.
