No. 7 USC men's tennis felt an unfamiliar feeling on Saturday...NCAA disappointment.
The Trojans are the reigning national champions and winners of five of the last six titles, but they will have to hand over the crown this season after falling to No. 2 Baylor, the tournament hosts, in front of a raucous, partisan crowd. USC picked up singles points from seniors Roberto Quiroz and Eric Johnson, but ultimately fell 4-2 to the Bears.

Head coach Peter Smith will have some work to do this offseason, replacing decorated veterans Yannick Hanfmann, Johnson, Quiroz and Jonny Wang, the top four players on the team. However, if anyone can keep the dynasty rolling, count on Smith, who has a remarkable 295-75 (79.7%) record in 13 seasons at USC.
