After attending several adult football camps put on by Pete Carroll, former USC head football coach and 2015 USC Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, Art Turock was inspired by the coach's Win Forever philosophy. Realizing its potential relevance in the business world, Turock spent four years learning Carroll's player development program and applying it to business leadership.
In January, he published Competent Is Not An Option, a book instructing readers on the process of building an "elite leadership team following the talent development plan of sports champions." Carroll himself endorsed the book, and Turock will be in attendance at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday to thank the coach for his inspiration.
