USC men's volleyball lost its first match of the 2015 season, falling to No. 6 Hawaii in five sets last Wednesday, but bounced back to defeat the Rainbow Warriors in five sets on Friday night. The No. 2 Trojans now turn their attention to a two-match series with No. 7 BYU this weekend where the MPSF first place spot is on the line.

On Wednesday, the Trojans dropped an early two-set advantage and were overcome by the Warriors in a 26-28, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 20-18 loss. USC stormed back on Friday to top Hawaii in another wild, five set match 30-28, 17-25, 18-25, 25-18, 20-18. Christopher Orenic had 17 kills, eight digs and three aces in the victory to accompany Micah Christenson's 17 digs, eight blocks and five aces.
USC plays host to BYU on Thursday (7 p.m. PT) and Friday (7 p.m. PT) in a two-match series at Galen Center.
