The Women of Troy topped off a perfect Sunday for USC basketball as they defeated Long Beach State, 69-43, to continue their undefeated start to the 2015-16 season. The USC women's basketball team is now 9-0, which is its best start since the 1984-85 season.

Sunday's game was the 50th time the long-time rivals squared off and the Trojans were victorious for the sixth straight occasion thanks to hard-fought performance from co-captains Jordan Adams and Temi Fagbenle who combined for 29 points and 25 rebounds. Fagbenle, who is averaging a team-leading 14.1 points per game this season as well as 8.2 rebounds per game, notched her second double-double of the year.
The Women of Troy secured the lead at the five minute mark, and while the 49ers challenged the Trojans at several points in the second quarter, USC held a 38-31 lead at the half. Eager to put the game away, the Trojans turned up the heat defensively in the second half, holding Long Beach State to just 12 points in the final two quarters.
