For the second consecutive season, USC men's water polo was forced to settle for the national runner-up spot, falling to UCLA in the NCAA title match. The Trojans, who had been handily beaten by the Bruins in the MPSF Championships, put together an inspired performance, pushing undefeated UCLA to the end, but ultimately falling, 10-7.

having beaten Cal in the NCAA semifinals, 9-6, on Saturday. Blake Edwards and Mihajlo Milicevic were named to the NCAA All-Tournament First Team, with McQuin Baron and Lachlan Edwards picking up spots on the NCAA All-Tournament Second Team.
