There was simply not a better collegiate women's volleyball player in the country this year than USC senior Samantha Bricio, who led the nation in points (803.0), points per set (6.18 pps), service aces (89) and aces per set (.68 saps). On Friday, the USC record holder in career and single season kills, attacks, aces and points was named the AVCA National Player of the Year after her tremendous season.
