The USC football team isn't the only one with a postseason date in San Diego. The No. 1 USC women's volleyball team is San Diego bound after advancing to the program's 11th NCAA Regional Semifinal under head coach Mick Haley with a 3-0 sweep of the San Diego Toreros on Friday.
Dead set on finishing her USC career on top, senior outside hitter Samantha Bricio continued her postseason domination, notching 21 kills, eight digs, three aces and hitting .462 in the win. Junior Elise Ruddins played phenomenally as well, contributing seven kills on 10 swings plus five blocks.
The Women of Troy will face Creighton in the semifinals on Friday December 11 at 8 p.m. at Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Trojans bested the Bluejays, 3-0, in the Northern Iowa tournament in September and look to repeat that performance to earn a spot in the NCAA Regional finals.
