USC alums Carson Palmer, Clay Matthews, Ryan Kalil and Tyron Smith were selected to the NFL Pro Bowl in recognition of their tremendous 2015 seasons.
Palmer is making his third trip to the NFL all-star game after a nine-year hiatus thanks to a franchise-record 32 touchdown passes for the Arizona Cardinals this season. He is also considered a leading MVP candidate, having posted a record of 18-2 as a starter over the last two years.
Matthews is a Pro Bowl regular, making the cut for the sixth time in seven professional seasons. Formerly a pass rush specialist at outside linebacker, Matthews has changed his game for the Packers, moving inside to record 63 tackles (third on the team) to go along with 5.5 sacks (second on the team).
Kalil (five-time Pro Bowler) and Smith (three-time Pro Bowler) are considered two of the best offensive linemen in the game. Kalil is the captain of the undefeated Carolina Panthers, while Smith has started 77 of the 78 games in his Dallas Cowboys' career.
