Several esteemed USC alums took in practice and greeted the team, including former CB Rashard Cook (pictured left), former LB Zeke Moreno (pictured center), former Olympic bronze medalist Tonie Campbell (pictured right) and former assistant coach Dick Coury (not pictured). Campbell coaches track and helps run the facilities at Southwestern College. - LT Chad Wheeler did not make the trip to San Diego, but he is expected to rejoin the team in January. Zach Banner will start at left tackle and Chuma Edoga slots in at right tackle. Edoga started earlier this season against Utah, and after showing great improvement during his freshman season, he said he wants to get bigger as a sophomore.
- In his final game, junior OLB Su'a Cravens is focused on going out a winner, but he would love to get his 10th career interception along the way or show off his receiver skills. "I'd like to get on the offensive side of the ball and catch a touchdown. I've been putting it in Tee Martin's ear all weekend, but I don't think he's listening to me," said Cravens. "I'll just be grateful for the win."
- Cravens may not have many chances for interceptions as the Badgers prefer the power game. "They are going to run the ball," Cravens said about USC's Holiday Bowl opponent. "They are going to be really heavy in the run game, and they are not going to hide it."
- Either way, Cravens will never forget his time at USC. "All the 'SC family knows how I feel about them and how I feel about being a Trojan. It's in my blood," said Cravens. "No matter how far along I play in my career, I'll always be a Trojan."
- On the injury front, CB Kevon Seymour has improved and now has a better than 50/50 chance to play.
- With the semester ending, Helton was asked about academics, and not only are all the Trojans eligible, but they enjoyed their best fall semester on record, and boasted the most 3.0 or better GPAs in program history for any semester.
- Here is Helton's presser...
