The departing assistant coaches will not participate in Holiday Bowl preparation so they can pursue other opportunities. Helton has "a plan in place" to fill the void with current staff members.
While Helton has not hired any new assistant coaches yet, he did say that he does not want to call the offensive plays next season, and he is looking for a defensive coordinator who is "extremely aggressive."
